Hidden Valley Ashram - Your Oasis of Peace!

February 2024

Dear Friends,

Time has flown by since our re-opening in October of last year! We have already had hundreds of devotees come join us for the restorative power of spending time in meditation and introspection at Guruji’s Hidden Valley Ashram.

The quiet of the rural location here is a balm to a frayed human nervous system, brought on by the speedy pace of our modern life. The necessity of taking time to slow down in an age of constant acceleration is an ironic paradox, isn’t it? Here you can step away from the worldly drama of God’s lila and allow yourself to re-engage with the inner rhythm of the spiritual life.

So make the effort now to restore your equilibrium and vital spirit! Recommit to Guruji’s ideal of daily meditation and healthful living in the peaceful environment of Hidden Valley Ashram. As Paramahansa Yogananda enthused: "The Sustainer of the universe is knocking at the gate of your heart trying to walk in through the portals of silence and create within you a garden of happiness filled with roses of immortal qualities."

We look forward to welcoming you and supporting the Divine Romance to be found within the silence of your soul. Here is a link to the online reservation request form.

In divine friendship,

About Hidden Valley

Hidden Valley Ashram is a monks' ashram, part of Self-Realization Fellowship, founded by Paramahansa Yogananda. Nestled among rolling hills of native oak and sycamore, the ashram is an ideal setting for men seeking a deeper spiritual experience by immersing themselves in a monastic community.

The weekly schedule includes individual and group meditations, counseling with the monastics, service opportunities, recreation, and time for solitude and reflection.

Monastic Environment

Hidden Valley has been the gateway to monastic life for young men for more than thirty years. Guests have the opportunity to experience ashram life and follow the monk’s daily routine. During the course of your stay, the Hidden Valley monks are here to help you as you decide if this is the right choice for you.
